There was once upon a time when some artist was asked to paint a scene of what they consider peace. The winning painting was of a storm where you saw a bird in her nest protecting her baby birds. In the bible, there is a story where the disciples along with Jesus were in a boat at sea during a storm.

They awoke Jesus who was asleep in the stern of the boat. Jesus rebuked the storm and said peace be still and the storm ended.

Life is full of storms but even during the storm, you can find peace. It is your faith in the Higher Source that will bring you peace. The guidance that you are able to receive through your inner witness will lead you to peace. Yes, it does not matter what is going on around you. You can always find peace by going within.

While the cry goes out “let there be peace on earth and goodwill towards man.” Peace starts with you. Like a stone thrown in a pond ripples out. So to will your peace ripple out to others around you. Then their peace will ripple out to others around them. It all a matter of people learning how to have and maintain peace in their own lives. Then share with others how they too can have peace in their lives.

Peace in your life starts when you realize that you are a child of the Higher Source. That as a child of the Higher Source you will be taken care of. That there is nothing in heaven or earth that can separate you from the love of the Higher Source. It is possible to learn how to walk in love. It is possible to be the light that shines in the darkness. That you can be an example for others to follow. In fact, as others look upon you and see what you have they too will want the same things that you have.

This goes back to realizing that we all live in our own world. That while others do not realize peace in their world you can still have peace in your world. The peace that surpasses all understanding. You can proclaim that even though you are in this world that you are not part of this world. In fact, the miry clay can not stick to you. You all know people who no matter what is thrown at them nothing seems to stick. That somehow no matter what they always seem to come out on top.

These are people who understand who they really are. That as long as they are aware of the benefits of their actions are to others they will always come out on top. These are people who realize that the more service they can be to others the greater benefit they will receive. These are people that seem to always put the needs of others above their own. People who understand give and it shall be given to you pressed down, shaken together and running over.

Living within the spiritual truths provided for us by the Higher Source. Will bring peace in your life.
